Purpose of the service
Pawfile lets you select pet photos, generate a stylized pixel-art companion using artificial intelligence, and display the result in the app and supported iPhone surfaces such as widgets, the Lock Screen, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island. Generated artwork is for personal, creative, and entertainment use. AI output can be incomplete, unexpected, or different from the source photo.
License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Pawfile on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the applicable platform usage rules. You may not reverse engineer the app except where law permits; interfere with or overload the service; bypass purchase, security, or access controls; use the service unlawfully; upload content you do not have permission to use; or use the service to create abusive, exploitative, infringing, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful content.
Purchases and subscriptions
Pawfile offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock Pawfile Pro. The exact price, billing period, tax, and any introductory offer appear on Apple's purchase sheet before confirmation. Introductory offers apply only when Apple determines that the Apple Account is eligible; no trial is guaranteed.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or visit Apple's subscription page. Use Pawfile's Restore control to restore an eligible purchase made with the same Apple Account. Apple handles refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. Resetting or deleting Pawfile does not cancel a subscription.
Platform terms
Your licensed use is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and Standard End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the Apple terms control to the extent of that conflict.
Your information and content
How the app handles information is explained in the Pawfile Privacy Policy. You retain your rights in the photos and text you provide. You give us and the providers described in the Privacy Policy a limited permission to host, transmit, reproduce, transform, and process that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and support Pawfile and create the requested output.
You represent that you own the content or have all permissions needed to upload and process it, including consent from identifiable people. Do not upload sensitive, private, unlawful, or infringing content. AI output may resemble other works and may not be unique; we do not guarantee that an output is protectable, exclusive, or suitable for commercial use.
Ownership
Pawfile, its design, software, branding, and related materials are owned by or licensed to 1001463290 Ontario Inc. These terms do not transfer ownership rights to you. Apple and other third-party names, software, services, and content remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate terms.
Availability and changes
We may correct, update, add, or remove app content and features, and may suspend access when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or protection of the service. AI generation, purchases, restoration, attribution, notifications, and Live Activities depend on Apple and other network providers and may be delayed or unavailable. Previously saved local content may remain usable when a network feature is unavailable, but continuous availability is not guaranteed.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pawfile is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that AI output will accurately depict a pet or be unique, lawful for every use, or continuously available.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1001463290 Ontario Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or substitute-service costs arising from Pawfile. Our total liability for claims relating to Pawfile will not exceed the greater of CAD $50 or the amount you paid for Pawfile during the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Termination
You may stop using Pawfile at any time. We may suspend or end access to network features for material misuse, security risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service. Pawfile does not create an app account. Ending use or deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancellation is handled separately through Apple. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law—continue after termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in Ontario have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory consumer laws in your place of residence give you the right to use another forum or law.
Changes
We may update these terms to reflect changes to Pawfile or legal requirements. The current version and update date will appear on this page.
